ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Lejos Eco Retreat is committed to provide online content that provides an excellent user experience for visitors of all abilities and is working diligently to ensure it meets ADA standards, including a level AA conformance to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. HOTEL ACCESSIBILITY

Lejos is also committed to comply with the regulations of the ADA Standards for Accessible Design. As part of our effort we train our staff to accommodate guests with special needs and have taken the following design considerations so that all our guests can enjoy a welcoming, inclusive and accessible experience during their stay.

The following areas are accessible:

  • Accessible public entrance

  • Designated accessible parking space

  • Entrance to Reception / gift shop

  • Accessible registration desk

  • Accessible lounge bar top

  • Accessible public restroom with automatic sensor faucet, sink and toilet height considerations and grab bars

  • Accessible route from the hotel’s public entrance to the registration area

  • Accessible route from the hotel’s public entrance to the accessible guest room

  • Accessible guest room Design Suite

  • Lowered emergency evacuation instructions

  • Service animals welcome

  • Hotel employees will read menus and other printed/visual information to guests who are blind/low vision

INFORMATION ABOUT OUR ACCESSIBLE GUEST ROOM

Our accessible guest room has features for guests with mobility disabilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Entry door that provides 36 inches of clear width

  • Doors with lever handles

  • Accessible eye hole in door

  • Wheelchair accessible floor layout

  • Lowered light switches and controllers

  • Accessible window treatment operators

  • Visual and audible fire alarms

  • Bed height considerations

  • Bathroom door that provides 32 inches of clear width

  • Toilet with grab bars

  • Accessible vanity

  • Accessible lavatory control

  • Open shower

  • Adjustable handheld shower

Please note that at this time the following areas have limited access:

  • Route from the hotel’s lower level and accessible guest room to the bar/restaurant on the second level

  • Route from the hotel’s lower level and accessible guest room to the swimming pool

 

While we will provide reasonable mobility assistance to guests in accessing these areas, for safety reasons, our staff is not permitted to lift guests or equipment. We strive to eventually offer full accessibility to all areas of the hotel and will continue to work to make improvements in the future in the degree that such improvements are readily achievable.
